  SCHOOLHOUSE CRAFT CONFERENCE!

I attended the Schoolhouse Craft Conference  September 23-25th and I can't tell you how inspirational and informative it was! So many great classes and speakers and food! Really have found it inspiring, its also been making me insanely driven with new ideas. Such a motivating three days. I would highly recommend Schoolhouse Craft or any craft conference for that matter to make your brain switch from the 9-5 cycle back to drawing sketches and creating patterns on your lunch break...and did I mention the swag bags??

Some of my favorite speakers and teachers sites are listed below. Hope you enjoy their passion for craft as much as I did!

  • Are you a craft blogger? If so take a short survey to help.."Alicia de los Reyes is a crafter and graduate student at the University of New Hampshire, where she is the editor of Barnstorm. The Craft Book Project is her thesis. She likes to sew, knit, crochet, and bake cupcakes. Oh, and also hike!"
  • Author Kari Chapin  was the first keynote speaker and her nervous honesty was very refreshing.
  • One of my favorite speakers and teachers of the weekend was Noah Scalin. He started the Skull A Day project that eventually got him a hilarious story about being on the Martha Stewart show! His class focused on telling your story as a business owner and learning how to sell yourself. This class was held at Assemble Gallery and Studio which is a fabulous shop that offers art shows and classes! Stroll in next time you’re on Phinney Ave!

Not the best mugshot i've taken.....click the pic for more awesome pics of the conference!
